I had a physio session yesterday with Emily Johnson for pain I was having in my left knee while running.
I haven't run much over the past few years, but in the last month I've been getting back into it. In the last couple weeks I have struck with show stopping pain in my left knee within 2-3km of a mellow run. Sometimes I could get relief by stopping to stretch, but the pain would return within a few minutes. I figured this would go away eventually with rest and regular stretching; it never did. Having run marathons and trail races in my past, I was pretty disappointed not being able run more than a few kms...
Emily pinpointed something irregular in my right rib and ankle and gave me two stretches. I was skeptical leaving the appointment as I didn't fully believe these problems could relate to the pain in my left knee.
I went out this morning planning on just going for a short run around town and ended up being able to do a 20km run including a lap of the Gondola trail. No knee pain... My mind is f*****g blown!!!
